How to Win Hard With Rengar in 2021
Rengar, a catlike creature that stalks its prey viciously hunting and killing various creatures. This Jungler/Top Laner has been a niche assassin ever since his release. In 2020, Rengar is still viable in the right hands. To win with Rengar take into account some of these tips.
Positives and Negatives of Rengar
Before getting to know Rengar as a champion, here are some positives and negatives that may dictate your playstyle choices.
Pros
Rengar has been noted as one of the best solo carry champions, with his high damage output, 1v1 burst potential, and great movement abilities. Rengar can outduel many junglers in the early game due to his potent burst abilities. Rengar is very fluid, meaning you can play him in a multitude of ways and not get bored with him. Rengar has high attack speed and has bush jumps that may catch your opponents off guard. This makes Rengar great in terms of ganking potential.
Cons
While Rengar is an insanely fun champion to learn and master, Rengar poses a certain disadvantage. Playing as Rengar means that you will either destroy the opponent or get destroyed yourself. Once you start losing it is difficult to bounce back as Rengar relies on snowball potential. Rengar is difficult to master with his quirky abilities like his bush jumping. Grouping also counters Rengar as he is more of a duelist than a group killer. Tanks will also counter Rengar if Rengar is unable to defeat them early on and scale.

Duskblade enables you to increase your burst, standard lethality item
Youmuu’s Ghostblade
Ghostblade gives you that extra mobility for certain ganks and jumps which enables you to gank more efficiently. Using this in conjunction with your R is also helpful when chasing down foes. Lethality is also standard on Youmuu’s Ghostblade.
Edge of Night
Edge of Night is helpful when going against champions that can easily shut you down, it is another lethality item which is standard.
Lord Dominik’s Regards

While Mortal Reminder has less armor penetration than Lord Dominik’s Regards, it stops the healing effect of enemy champions. This is useful with champions that have high regen such as Dr. Mundo or Garen.
There are many more item combinations that you can try but these are just some of the most common, depending on the situation, and playstyle changing up the item sets is useful.
