Previous Azir skins, we have always wondered what could be inside that helmet, well Elderwood Azir doesn’t need that question, because Elderwood Azir doesn’t have a helmet. Therefore we can see what this skin really looks like. Azir resembles the look of an angry-eagle warrior, and I gotta admit it looks really cool. His armor is also quite nice, with its purplish plate in the middle giving it some nice extra detail. This skin costs around 1350 RP, and it’s available for purchase in the store.
Elderwood Azir in detail
Elderwood Azir has a much darker tone in terms of aesthetic, compared to normal Azir. I personally think this a really unique feature to Azir, because it makes him look a bit more intimidating compared to his other skins.
The eagle-look really suites Azir well, and I applaud Riot Games for designing this skin because it is quite frankly a really cool skin. Azir has some chromas as well, and all of them are pretty good for the most part, but I can’t help but think some of his chromas look a bit repetitive, because of all the other champions that utilize the same-looking chromas.
Is Elderwood Azir worth it?
It really depends on what you are looking for when it comes to an Azir skin. It is a very well-designed skin, but it isn’t for everyone, in fact there are plenty of other options available to the player, so if this doesn’t look like something your interested in then you can decline purchasing this skin. Of course if your collector you will probably want this skin regardless of your opinion on it.
Elderwood Azir may be a good option if for example you main Azir, and aren’t a big fan of his golden-themed looks. Elderwood Azir may also be appealing to you if you like the aesthetic of “darker-themed” skins.
It is a pretty cool skin and has a lot of appealing features, that could certainly see popularity from fans and Azir mains. Although the skin itself suffers from quality animations, the overall design, and aesthetic of the skin certainly make up for it.
If you are still clueless as to whether or not this skin is worth your time, you can always check the PBE (Public Beta Environment) for a better understanding of Elderwood Azir.
