Baron Von Veigar Review

Greetings to all fans of interesting facts and reviews of League of Legends on my blog! Probably most of the skins released by Riot Games before 2011 have some kind of special charm that makes players want to buy them in their collection. Unavailability certainly helps, but today is not the case, because we have a review of the skin, released June 26, 2011 – Baron Von Veigar. Below I’ll write all I know and think about it, and you can decide for yourself whether you need it in your collection or not.

Lore

Veigar aka THE TINY MASTER OF EVIL was never a do-gooder, every image of him is just a member of a time or universe in which he spun his web of evil. This time we are facing the very real Baron Von Veigar and his death machine depicted on splash art, will the inhabitants of Rift have enough power to resist probably the smallest and at the same time the most sinister champion? Probably not.

Concept and Inspiration

When creating the Baron Von Veigar, Riot Games’ designers were inspired by the image of a European soldier from the late 19th, early 20th century. A characteristic helmet for that era, and a mechanical machine like from the movie “Wild Wild West” (don’t ask me where I know it from) tells us that this time Veigar has decided to do evil in our world, and judging by the equipment he is serious about it.

Design, Sound Effects, and Animations

Baron Von Veigar is a completely new take on the classic Veigar look. Instead of the magical robes and iron gauntlets with the staff in his hands that made the champion stand out on Rift, the soldier’s outfit has been replaced. A helmet with a point on top, leather boots and gloves and an iron cane are now the main components of his new look.

Unique Features

Although Baron Von Veigar cannot please players with new sounds and animations, his appearance tries to compensate for these shortcomings. I would like to briefly list the main new details in Baron Von Veigar:

  • The dark mage’s armor has been replaced by a severe militarized set with leather gloves, boots, and an iron helmet.
  • Veigar now has an iron cane instead of the classic staff.
  • On splash art, Veigar now stands on a kind of spider-like steel mechanism, extending his leather-gloved hand with a ring on his finger forward.

Obtainability in 2023

If you want to buy Baron Von Veigar into your inventory, get ready to pay a tidy amount of Riot Points, because this skin costs 1350 Riot Points! Not bad, huh? But I have a great option for you, at SmurfMania.com you can get a level 30 account with Baron Von Veigar and some other skins for the same price as an epic skin from the league of legends in-game store. And that’s really not bad at all!

Gamers Feedback

As with any skin that doesn’t have new animations and sounds, there are players who don’t like it. But it’s not all bad, Baron Von Veigar has its own fanbase! Below I will cite a few reviews of Baron Von Veigar from real League of Legends players:

“there is so much potential in this skin…”

“the best skin”

“i got this skin in mysery gift it isnt bad”

“bad skin,no skill change,only a cloth”

“Wish his abilities were a rockets or small German biplanes”

“My favorite skin, I was lucky to get it from a chest. ^^”

My Feedback

Expensive, friends, expensive! On the whole the skin looks nice, considering the general collection of skins on Veigar, but here in any case you have to wait for the sale and get it for, say, 300-500 Riot Points or an account with Baron Von Veigar at SmurfMania.com. I don’t often play Veigar, but the classic look is good enough for me. The appearance of the skin is made decent and looks good on the Rift, but I can not say more, given that it is 2023 and many skins with their new colors, animations just outshine similar old skins now.

Conclusion and Rating

I recommend buying Baron Von Veigar only to those who have the initial goal to collect the entire collection of skins on Veigar. Otherwise, there are other interesting options for this champion, such as Final Boss or Greybeard, which will definitely draw more attention from Rift players. I give this skin a score of 5 out of 10, not a bad look, no more.
