Lore

Aloof from the rest of the cultists, his priestesses follow the call of ancient demons and have gone away from all other affairs. Akali, living in cold and wild forests, focuses on meditation to experience the Blood Moon. She was one of the first to do this, to hear the voice of great darkness and merge with it. This is a demonic skin, but Akali cannot be completely subordinated to the Blood Moon, but rather uses its power.

Concept and Inspiration

When creating Blood Moon Akali, the designers were inspired by the traditional Japanese Noh theater and now Akali is depicted as an ancient Japanese warrior. The whole concept of the skin blends perfectly with the history of the game, and most importantly, with the aesthetics of the Akali champion himself.

Design, Sound Effects, and Animations

After updating her kimono, it turned purple and as a whole it creates a bloody image. Also on her porcelain mask you can see the symbol of the Blood Moon, which also affects the visual style and makes the skin more deadly. She also has a new blade and sickle. The blades of her arms are blue and purple and look cool. Akali blades are beautifully designed, although they remain dangerous weapons.

The new design of unique features, adding a blue glow to them perfectly matches Blood Moon Akali’s image and gives her the necessary effect of supernatural, otherworldly powers.

I would like to briefly highlight the main unique differences between Blood Moon Akali and her classic image:

• The appearance has been completely updated. Akali is now dressed in the traditional Noh Theater costume.
• New VFX in the form of flying petals and blue glow.

The Blood Moon series of skins turned out pretty good, especially for the price. Buying any skin from this series, including the Blood Moon Akali you will definitely not make a mistake, as you get a well-designed skin with partially modified VFX for only 975 Riot Points, and needless to say what horrible skins can be in this price range and without a hint of new VFX elements. In-game the skin looks great, no worse than the more expensive Akali skins, so I can boldly recommend Blood Moon Akali for purchase

In conclusion, I would like to say that the Blood Moon collection is definitely worth it. For the relatively expensive price of its brethren, you get a beautiful and well-crafted set along with Blood Moon Akali and the rich history of the Japanese Noh Theater. Blood Moon Akali got partially updated animations, a good look, and a nice backstory from the developers, so I boldly give Blood Moon Akali a score of 8 out of 10.
