Black Belt Udyr Review
League of Legends fans are always looking for unique skins that will set their champions apart from the competition. One such skin that has sparked their curiosity is Black Belt Udyr. This skin was released on July 18, 2010. In this discussion, we will dive into the Black Belt Udyr skin and look at its history, model, exclusive aspects, attainability, gamer ratings, and my assessment.
Lore
Udyr, the famous Spirit Walker in League of Legends, was the inspiration for the Udyr martial arts wielding black belt skin. In the legends, it is said that Udyr went to Ionia and among the monks and masters perfected his technique and became a master himself.
Concept and Inspiration
Udyr rose to the pinnacle of martial arts on July 18, 2010 with the new Black Belt skin. Available for 520 RP, it features a green gi emblazoned with the Riot logo and Highlander facial features, all paying homage to the fighter’s history in true OG style.
Design, Sound Effects and Animations
Black Belt Udyr’s skin leaves a lot to be desired: it has a sparse design and limited changes compared to the classic model. Unfortunately, it has no particle effects, animations, or sounds to freshen up the game.
The Black Belt Udyr skin does not revolutionize the game by offering new sound effects, animations, or visuals. It does, however, provide a unique aesthetic that sets it apart from its classic counterpart. With its green uniform with the Riot logo and its shabby gi, this skin will appeal more to players who like their champions to look fashionable than anything else.
Obtainability in 2023
Black Belt Udyr is a legacy skin that is currently unavailable for purchase in Riot Store. Only when the legacy vault opens up will you be able to buy it for 520 RP. However, you can do otherwise. Visit the store Smurfmania.com and here you can find this skin and many others – all at a discounted price.
Gamers Feedback
LoL players who own the Black Belt Udyr skin have mixed opinions about it. Some players appreciate the skin for its unique design, while others think it’s too similar to the classic Udyr skin and not worth its price. Here are some quotes from players who own this skin:
“He is looking like Kuroki Gensai from Kengan Asura”
“Probably the worst skin for Udyr, but still a better upgrade. Looking like just a chroma for the champion.”
“I wish the recall was Udyr doing katas”
My Feedback
I know this is an inexpensive skin, but if there were less effects and more martial arts, it would be very cool. I feel like this skin would really benefit if it were chrome. The yellow isn’t bad, but I think white would have been much better as a base. I was also hoping it would have Kanji visual effects on the abilities and/or Japanese tools for SFX, but that’s too high an expectation. Also, it would be cool if he could fist or kick in the animations. That would have diversified the skin a bit, and made it even more identical. Overall the skin looks pretty good and don’t particularly like the vest with the Riot logo – cool element!
Conclusion and Rating
In conclusion, the Black Belt Udyr is considered somewhat of a coveted artifact among enthusiasts and collectors. This skin features an unusual design, featuring a green martial arts suit with the Riot logo on the back. Despite this, it has caused controversy, as some feel that this skin does not deserve its price due to its resemblance to the classic skin. Regardless of opinion, however, there is no denying that this skin is certainly an attractive new addition to any collection of skins for Udyr .
If you are a fan of Udyr or want to add to your collection of skins, Black Belt Udyr will satisfy you. I rated his skin at 6 on a scale of 10, because it fits perfectly with the overall atmosphere of Udyr Champion. Feel yourself in a new image of a martial arts master!
